Charity golf day sees Crisis charity come out on top
The inaugural Lloyds Banking Group Charity Golf Day, which was raising funds for Crisis, a charity whose mission is to tackle homelessness in the UK and Ireland, took place on May 10th at Carden Park, near Chester. The Zinc Group was ready to jump into action with four of its topflight players, led by our very own CEO Dougie McManus, who was joined by Graeme Niven, Scott Jamieson, and Ed Simpson.
The day was a huge success, raising both much-needed funds and awareness for Crisis. The turnout on the day was good, with a variety of teams from several businesses from in and around the UK, and the hosts Lloyds Banking Group. But there could only be two winners on the day, the first being Crisis and the second being Team Zinc, who took the top prize after coming in first place.
Dougie McManus said of the day: “I would like to thank our hosts Lloyds for a great day, not least of all because it is a rare occasion for us to be lifting trophies at such events, hence the photographic evidence to prove it. But more importantly, events like this are a great way to raise funds for organisations such as Crisis who do vital work, helping people who are in a state of homelessness.”
The Zinc Group is proud to have played its part in supporting Crisis, and we hope that the funds raised will help to make a real difference to the lives of those who are homeless.
